The St. Louis Blues were three seconds away from leaving Nashville with two points.  Instead, Jason Arnott’s goal tied the game and forced an overtime shootout with the Blues losing 4-3.

Steve Sullivan scored the only shootout goal to get the win for the Preds.  Brad Boyes, Andy McDonald, and TJ Oshie were shut down in the shootout.

Blues goalie Chris Mason is now 1-0-1 against his former team who St. Louis acquired in a trade.  Just like they did in the Vancouver game, the Blues jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by David Backes and David Perron.  The Blues were up 3-1 when Nashville scored at 7:55 of the third and then scored late with an extra attacker.

The Blues are tied with Colorado at 51 points and in last in the Western Conference.
