In his Inaugural Address, Governor Jay Nixon (D-MO) called for Missourians to come together as he spoke of how – for too many years – politics and partisanship have stood in the way of progress.
Nixon spoke of how the needs of Missouri families can only be met by working together, adding putting our shared principles must be put ahead of political partisanship. But Senator McCaskill, one of the special guests sitting on the podium, says putting feelings aside is not always easy to do.
McCaskill says it is important to take the talk of bipartisanship that is spoken on Inauguration Day and making it a reality every single day.
