The Cardinals football team who never had a home playoff game while here in St. Louis for 27 years, nor the first 20 in Arizona having a hard time selling out their first playoff home game this weekend against Atlanta.

The cheers won’t be as loud for Super Bowl MVP Kurt Warner should he throw a touchdown pass.  The NFL granted a second, 24-hour extension to Arizona and Minnesota.  The team has until 2:30 p.m. on Friday to sell its remaining tickets. A sellout crowd is necessary for the NFL to lift its blackout of the home TV market.  They have 3,700 tickets remaining.

Former Chiefs defensive end Jared Allen’s Vikings could be faced with the same dilemma this weekend when Minnesota hosts Philadelphia.
The Vikings have about 8,000 unsold tickets for their Wild Card playoff matchup.
