The Chiefs are turning their focus to interviewing New England Patriots vice president of player personnel Scott Pioli.  Pioli interviewed with Cleveland yesterday and he has a history with that franchise. 

Marty Schottenheimer told the Kansas City Star , it’s highly unlikely he’ll have a role with the Chiefs, either as coach or GM.  He said he’s talked with Clark Hunt, but he was asked more for his opinion on particular personnel. 

While the future of Rams’ head coach Jim Haslett is to be determined, a couple of his assistants jumped ship.  Jim Chaney, the tights end coach will become the offensive coordinator at Tennessee under Lane Kiffin.  Keith Murphy an assistant special teams coach goes to New Mexico State to help with receivers and special teams.

The Cardinals football team who never had a home playoff game while here in St. Louis for 27 years, nor the first 20 in Arizona having a hard time selling out their first this weekend against Atlanta.  Their about 5,000 tickets short.  Minnesota 11,000 short of a sellout.
