Missouri standouts Chase Daniel and Stryker Sulak have accepted invitations to play in the 2009 East-West Shrine Game, scheduled for Jan. 17 th at the University of Houston’s Robertson Stadium in Houston, Texas.

This game will mark the 84 th playing of the East-West Shrine Game, which is known as one of the more prestigious all-star games around.  The game will kick off at 3 p.m. (central time) and be shown live nationally on ESPN-2.

The Missouri duo will represent the Tigers as part of the West Team roster, and they are only the fifth and sixth Tigers to play in the game in the last 10 East-West affairs, joining previous invitees Will Franklin (2008), A.J. Ricker (2004), Justin Gage (2003), Craig Heimburger (1999) among recent MU players.  In all, 35 Missouri players have taken part in the all-star classic.

The Mizzou team returns to the practice field Friday afternoon, as it continues preparations for its Dec. 29 th Alamo Bowl matchup against Northwestern.  The Tigers were off this week due to final examinations, and will practice once each over the next four days, prior to leaving for San Antonio on Dec. 23 rd .
