Missouri junior Aaron Senne has been named to the 2009 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Preseason All-America Third Team. Senne led the Tigers last year with a .347 batting average, hitting 13 home runs and compiling 67 RBI. He added 14 doubles.  

An All-Big 12 First Team selection a year ago, Senne will return for his junior season with the Tigers in 2009. Last year, he led the team with 17 multi-hit games, including four five-hit games.

Many of these preseason standouts will be nominated for the 23 rd annual Dick Howser Trophy, presented by the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Area chamber of Commerce and voted upon by the NCBWA membership. The Howser Trophy will be awarded on Saturday, June 13, 2009 prior to Game One of the NCAA World Series at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Neb.
