The Missouri Democratic Party has a new chief. Former State Representative Craig Hosmer of Springfield has been selected as the Missouri Democratic Party Chairman at the Democrats’ party reorganization meeting in Columbia. He’ll serve in the post for the next two years, replacing John Temporiti who served as the top man since February of 2007.

Hosmer currently serves as Chairman of the Greene County Democratic Party and also served as the Treasurer of the Nixon for Governor campaign. The Springfield attorney attended undergraduate school at the University of Missouri and received his law degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.. Hosmer and his wife Joann have three sons.

The state committee reelected Yolanda Wheat from Kansas City as Vice Chair, Shirla Howard of Dexter as Secretary, and Rod Anderson of Monett as Treasurer.
