Tampa Bay kicker Matt Bryant kicked a 34 yard field goal on the Buccaneers first possession of overtime to cap a comeback from 14 points down to beat the Chiefs 30-27 .  This followed a late Tampa touchdown and two point conversion to tie the game with just :19 to play.

The Bucs took over with 1:50 to play at midfield and behind Jeff Garcia who threw a 24 yard touchdown pass to pull Tampa to within 27-25.  Then on the two point conversion, Garcia connected on another short pass.

Tampa had to play catch up the entire game.  The Chiefs scored on their first two possession after taking the opening drive 69 yards and capping it off with a 7 yard touchdown pass from Tyler Thigpen to Dwayne Bowe.  After the Bucs fumbled their first play of the game, the Chiefs went right back at it and seven plays later, Kolby Smith ran it in from the one to make it a 14-0 game.

The teams traded a pair of field goals in the second quarter, but Tampa Bay had a 97 yard kickoff return then used their two minute offense to get another field goal, yet still the Chiefs went into the locker room up 24-13.

Yet the Chiefs defense could not stop Garcia as he rallied Tampa back with 14 points in the fourth.

Garcia finished 31 of 43 for 339 yards, while Thigpen played well alright throwing for 164 yards with one touchdown and again, no turnovers.  Jamaal Charles had 106 yards on 18 carries.
