After just one win, it’s being reported that the St. Louis Rams are talking with head coach Jim Haslett about bringing him back for the 2009 season if the Rams play .500 ball the rest of the season.

Haslett was named as Scott Linehan’s replacement on September 29th.  One of the provisions to any agreement is that the contract would be voided if the Rams didn’t finish with a 6-6 record under Haslett.  He’s 1-0 so far following the 19-17 win at Washington.

In other Rams’ news, they have signed former Alabama running back Kenneth Darby to their active roster with the shoulder injury to Brian Leonard ended his season.

Safety Oshiomogho Atogwe was named NFC defensive player of the week for being in the right place at the right time.  He scooped up a fumble at the Rams 25 and took it 75 yards the other way for the Rams’ only touchdown last weekend.
