The Royals extended their winning streak to seven games, the most since they started 2003 with nine in a row as the Royals swept the Seattle Mariners 12-0. 

Zach Greinke picked up his 12 th win of the year allowing just two hits over seven innings while walking one and striking out seven.  Everyone was a hero in this game as the Royals scored their 12 runs over four innings and there was only one home run.  Mike Aviles hit his 8 th , a three run shot in a four run third inning.

Mark Teahan went 3 for 3, and Mitch Maier was the only other player with multiple hits.  When the Royals hit, they hit together stringing four innings of runs.  They rocked Mariner starter Ryan Feierabend for eight of those runs in 3.2 innings.

Now the Royals can play spoiler this weekend as the White Sox come to Kaufmann with a 1.5 game lead over Minnesota in the Central Division.
