Columbian Carl Edwards’ finish of third place, coupled with Kyle Busch’s 34 th place finish and Greg Biffle’s win over Jimmie Johnson, has Edwards tied for the top of the Cup Chase Standings with Johnson.
Johnson, who races so well at the end of the season, led for 96 laps at New Hampshire, but a couple of late cautions allowed Biffle to pass Johnson with 12 laps to go as he hung on for the victory. New Hampshire is one of those tracks that Edwards is never sure how they’ll run, but he had a strong race.
Busch who dominated the entire season had a rough day, getting a penalty and falling behind two laps then having a wreck to settle for 34 th .
