Missouri Tiger Junior linebacker Sean Weatherspoon became the first Tiger to return interceptions for touchdowns in consecutive games last week when he ran back a 67 yard INT against Southeast Missouri State.
The week before, Weatherspoon picked off Illinois’ Juice Williams twice, the second in the fourth quarter that put Mizzou up by 17 late in the game. Head coach Gary Pinkel praised Weatherspoon for his leadership, attitude and his ability grasp the MU defense and really build into a leader from his sophomore to junior year.
He’s a player I want you to get to learn more about. First off, the kid is a pleasure to talk with. I covered him last year for the first time and he’s always got a smile on his face always more than happy to take time to answer questions.
