The 2008 football season has been one of the most highly-anticipated ever in University of Missouri history, and Tiger fans have shown their loyalty in record numbers, as season ticket sales to Tiger games have closed at a record 41,384, as announced today by MU Athletics officials.

That’s a jump in sales of nearly 10,000 season tickets from 2007, when sales reached 32,609.  The new total also surpasses the previous modern-day record of 34,878 set in 2004.

While reserved seats remain available for this Saturday’s game against Nevada (11:30 a.m. kickoff), Mizzou’s Sept. 20 th game against Buffalo is nearing sell-out status, with limited availability of tickets remaining.

Additionally, MU Athletic officials announced yesterday that reserved seating and temporary bleacher seating for the Tigers’ games against Oklahoma State (Oct. 11) and Colorado (Oct. 25) have sold out and only general admission hillside tickets remain for those Big 12 contests. Fans are encouraged to act quickly as both games are expected to be complete sellouts well in advance of game day.

North Field Level bleacher seats for the Kansas State game (Nov. 8) have also gone on sale.

Tickets may be ordered online at mutigers.com or by calling 1-800-CAT PAWS. They are also available for purchase at the Mizzou Arena Ticket Office.
