Cardinals’ third baseman Troy Glaus has been diagnosed with a rotator cuff strain and tendonitis and he’s hoping that he only misses a couple of the team’s 18 remaining games.

Glaus has been bothered by the shoulder pain for about three weeks and had a cortisone shot, but had another one today that was a little more focused on the area.  Glaus said if the shot works like it should it will be just a couple of days.

Glaus is hitting .269 with 23 homers and 89 RBI.  Felipe Lopez is starting at third in his place.
