The State Treasurer’s Office is reminding farms and small businesses affected by the summer flooding that special emergency assistance is available under the BIG Missouri Linked Deposit Program – which enables qualifying farms and businesses to receive low interest loans.

Kelly Gunderson with the Treasurer’s Office says that while the BIG Missouri program is available to any farm or small business that is expanding, this reminder is aimed at farms and small businesses negatively impacted by the flooding. It allows the borrower to save 25-to-30 percent of the interest paid on a standard business loan.
