Kenny Hulshof delivers Missouri's votes at Republican Convention We’re a little more than a month-and-a-half away from Election Day and the first of the face-offs in the debate for Governor takes place this week with the candidates gathering in Columbia for a Missouri Press Association candidates’ forum.

Discussions are continuing in an effort to schedule more debates in the remaining weeks of the campaign, but Republican Kenny Hulshof (R-MO) says Democrat Jay Nixon (D-MO) isn’t interested in staging those debates in prime time.

Hulshof says it is important to show Missourians the distinctions between the two candidates, and he says Missourians would be best served by holding the debates when most people might be able to see them. Hulshof says the Nixon campaign has, for the most part, proposed middle of the weekday or weekend confrontations.
