As Democrats meet in Denver, Republicans are putting together the final touches of the GOP Convention, next week, in Minneapolis-Saint Paul. And, Missouri plays a role in the trip to the Twin Cities.
Presumptive presidential nominee John McCain (R-AZ) makes a campaign stop at T.R. Hughes Ballpark – home of the River City Rascals – in O’Fallon on Sunday. Former presidential candidate and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee (R-AR) will be at the rally with a number of other McCain supporters, including country music star John Rich of the group Big and Rich.
Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (R-MA) is also expected to attend. Tickets for this picnic and rally are free and are available through a number of state lawmakers and at Victory 2008 offices throughout the state.
