Police have arrested a north central Missouri man wanted on charges of rape and burglary.

Kentucky police notified Brookfield Police that they have Chase Edward Jackson, 19, in custody. Police arrested him Friday at the apartment of an acquaintance near Louisville, Kentucky. They recovered a vehicle they believe Jackson stole in Marceline.

Police said they suspect Jackson raped a 65 year-old woman, early last Wednesday morning. Police in Marceline arrested him shortly after the incident, but he escaped. Later that morning, a Marceline woman reported her car had been stolen.

In addition to a rape and 2nd degree burglary charge in Linn County, Jackson faces a fugitive warrant and theft charges in Kentucky. He will appear in court next Friday, and Linn County Prosecutor Tracy Carlson says he will learn then, whether Jackson will fight extradition.
