The Missouri State School Retirement Fund is suing the Liberty School District. The fund says the district has breached its contract with the retirement system.
The lawsuit says the district and a former superintendent owe the retirement fund about one-quarter of a million dollars. It says former Superintendent Scott Taveau has improperly received $200,000 in retirement benefits.
