The Cubs Big Z, Carlos Zambrano was more like the Big ZZZ as the Cards pound the Cubs ace on their way to a 12-3 win at Wrigley Field getting back to within 6 games of the NL Central and remaining two back in the Wild Card.Troy Glaus, who was 0 for his first 30 against the Cubs hit two home runs and drove in five runs. Zambrano had trouble finding the strike zone and the Cardinal hitters pounded hitter pitches. Skip Schumaker doubled and scored in the first and later homered off Zambrano and Albert Pujols followed Schumaker’s homer with his 24th of the year putting the Cards up 3-1 in the third.In the bottom of the third, Zambrano homered off starter Todd Wellemeyer to cut the lead to 3-2, but the Redbirds came back in the fourth with two more off Glaus’ first homer, then Glaus ended Zambrano’s day with a three run shot in the 5th.Zambrano gave up nine runs on ten hits to take the loss. Wellemeyer picked up the win against his former team going 6.2 innings while giving up three runs.
