For the second straight night the Royals lose to Boston 8-2.  One night after facing fireballer Josh Beckett, the Royals had no answers for knuckleballer Tim Wakefield as he held Kansas City to just four hits over six innings.

The teams traded zeroes through the first four innings until Boston got on the board in the fifth with three runs.  The Royals answered back in the bottom of the innings scoring two, but the Red Sox added a couple of more against Luke Hochevar ending his night in the sixth inning.

Ron Mahay who has been reliable this season is slumping a bit.  For the second time in three outings he has been touched up for three runs.  Jacoby Ellsbury took the lefty deep for a three run homer.

Billy Butler went 3 for 4 and Ross Gload picked up two hits including both RBI on his double in the fifth.
