It appears as though Brett Favre is not going to be a Green Bay Packer.  Much like the weather in Missouri, wait five minutes and that is bound to change.  ESPN is reporting now that Favre is talking with New York and Tampa.  What about Missouri, could it work?

It will never happen.  First, we’ll start with the Rams.  They are locked into their quarterback Marc Bulger after he signed a multi-year deal right before the start of training camp last year, plus the Rams have veteran Trent Green as a backup.  In the third slot, the battle is between young guys Brad Gradkowski and the incumbent Brock Berlin.

The Rams are committed to Bulger as they should be and Green is the next option with his experience (and with a good team) he could still be a productive quarterback.

As far as the Chiefs, I’ll remind you they are rebuilding.  They do not want to get themselves into another Joe Montana scenario again.  Head coach Herm Edwards is leaning on Brodie Croyle and his rocket arm to be the quarterback of the future.  Plus, they’ve designated Tyler Thigpen as the team’s number two guy sliding veteran Damon Huard to number three.

Favre wants to start.  There’s a veteran back up in St. Louis and a the Chiefs have two young guns they are preparing to take snaps from center, so don’t hold your breath on Favre coming to Missouri.
