The Royals scored 12 times before the White Sox could put up a run against Royals’ starter Zach Greinke as Kansas City takes two out of three from the Chicago White Sox with a 14-3 win.

The Royals big outburst came in the second when they scored five times off Clayton Richard thanks to Miguel Olivo’s two run double and a two run homer by Mike Aviles.

Olivo was involved in bigger action when he was plunked on the hand in the fifth inning with the bases load and he charged the mound setting off a bench clearing brawl leading to his ejection as well as Sox manager Ozzie Guillen getting tossed.

Then in the seventh, Greinke got tossed along with manager Trey Hillman when Greinke fired one off the hip of Nick Swisher.  Cooler heads prevailed after that pitch.

Mike Aviles finished 4 for 4 with three RBI and Billy Butler and recently called up Mitch Maier each had three hits.

Greinke talks about the bean ball and Mike Aviles says don’t take this Royals’ team lightly.  Mitch Maier talks about the big series win and the Sox comment on the hot day.
