Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama (D-IL) visits Missouri on Wednesday for what is being billed as a daylong swing through rural areas of the state.

Details are to be released as the visit draws closer, but what is known is that Obama will make stops in Rolla and Springfield, holding a town hall meeting in Springfield.

Obama will be joined by Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO) on this tour of traditionally Republican areas. Over the weekend, the Obama campaign opened more than 20 offices in rural areas of the state, insisting the GOP will not be given the chance to take any part of the state for granted.
