It was the new Batman movie, the Dark Knight that brought many movie goers out late on a Thursday night. While actor Christian Bale has the lead role, fan Arthur Coats says some folks will be more interested in the work of actor Heath Ledger who died shortly after the film was finished.
"I would say probably a good 50 percent of it is the reason why," Coats said. "I want to see that you know that you know the last acting skill of Heath Ledger, and you know he’s agreat actor anyway."
Coats was among those who showed up at the Campbell 16 Cinema in Springfield three hours ahead of the midnight show, to score a seat in the second row.
