Former University of Missouri standout Thomas Gardner will play in the 2008 NBA Summer League with the Toronto Raptors. Gardner was named one of 11 members to the Raptors’ summer league roster. 

Toronto will play five games at the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion on the Campus of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, July 12-19. The Raptors will open with Sacramento on July 12.

Gardner got his first taste of NBA action last season with the Chicago Bulls. Gardner played in four regular-season games with the Bulls, averaging 5.3 points and 1.0 rebounds in 11.3 minutes per game.

A native of Portland, Ore., Gardner was a three-year letterwinner for the Tigers and finished his career 33 rd on Missouri’s all-time scoring list with 1,067 career points. Gardner started 57 career games as a Tiger and ranks No. 4 all-time with 94 three-point makes during the 2005-06 campaign.
