The man suspected of killing an Arkansas couple and leaving their bodies behind a Festus gas station has been arrested in Granite City, Illinois.
Police say Nicholas Sheley also is a suspect in six other murders that have happened since last Thursday. All of the other murders happened in Illinois. He has a decade-long criminal record involving drugs, assault, robbery, battery, and home invasion.
Police say he’s a methamphetamine addict and that he recently told his wife he wanted to kill people.
He’s being held in Illinois. It’s unclear which state will prosecute him first.
