Joplin native and NASCAR driver Jamie McMurray heads into this weekend at Daytona as the defending champion of this 400 mile, under the lights race. McMurray who is teammates with fellow Missourian Carl Edwards spoke with the media as he prepares for this weekend.
McMurray currently sits in 24 th place racing for the Roush-Fenway team. There were reports back in early June that McMurray would opt out of his contract with the team after the season, but he denied those rumored reports.
McMurray talks about racing better on super speedways and if he’s concerned with his job at Roush-Fenway.
