photo by Bill Greenblatt, UPI Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina was released from a St. Louis hospital, a day after he suffered a mild concussion on a collision at home plate in the 9th of the Cards-Phillies game on Sunday.

Team officials are saying he’s feeling much better and will be at the park tonight when the Royals come to St. Louis.  For now, the Cardinals will have Jason LaRue as their only catcher.

Cards GM John Mozeliak has no plans to make roster moves to bring on another catcher.  While it’s not ideal to have only one catcher on the roster, Molina is not expected to miss too much time.

St. Louis hosts the Royals in an interleague series starting tonight.
