Day one of the NCAA track and field outdoor championships at Drake University in Des Moines produced one qualifier from Missour.  Missouri Sophomore Brian Hancock qualified for the pole vault final.

Hancock, from Monroe City will compete on Friday’s final in the men’s pole vault while sophomore Nick Adcock of Kansas City finished day one of the men’s decathlon in fourth. 

Senior Jason Morris of St. Louis and junior Chris Rohr of Lee’s Summit tied for 13 th in the men’s hammer throw, both an inch from the 12 th and final qualifying spot.
