The Royals accomplished something that many would have probably thought impossible prior to last night; they needed just two runs to beat the Yankees in Yankee Stadium.

It is rare  any team wins in New York scoring just two runs, but thank Kyle Davies.  If the Royals pitcher failed to receive the game ball after the win, he certainly should have.

Davies tossed six and two-third innings of one-run ball, earning his second victory  this season.

David DeJesus’ RBI single in the fifth and Mark Teahen’s run-scoring double play ball accounted for the two KC runs.  The win ends the Royals three-game losing streak …
