It could be a little while before the dust settles, but now that Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) has become the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, many of Missouri’s Hillary Clinton supporters can be expected to join the Obama effort.

State Representative Rachel Storch (D-St. Louis), who served as State Director of the Missouri Campaign for Hillary Clinton through the February 5th Super Tuesday primary, had hoped Senator Clinton (D-NY) would win the Democratic Party nomination. But she now plans to join Missouri’s Obama supporters in getting behind the Illinois Senator’s White House bid.

Storch says she feels Democrats were very lucky in this election cycle to have what she calls “an incredibly talented slate of candidates,” adding the party faithful will work together to bring about a major change in the White House. Storch has no doubt wounds will start to heal once Clinton concedes and throws her support behind Obama. That is expected to happen on Saturday.
