Now that the race for the Democratic presidential nomination is all but over, we can expect to hear accusations and counter-accusations over the campaign.

One of Missouri’s superdelegates who has announced she would vote for Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, is getting a head start on proceedings. Even though she’s in the Obama column, State Representative Maria Chappelle-Nadal (D-University City) claims gender bias played a role in the campaign, saying it hurt Hillary Clinton.

Geraldine Ferraro, who was Walter Mondale’s running mate for the Democrats in 1984, has made it clear she believes the media did not treat Clinton as they did Obama. Chappelle-Nadal says the Democratic Party – once it captures the White House – will have to sit down and discuss the issue of gender bias.
