Mizzou’s Trevor Coleman singled in the winning run in the bottom of the 10 th and the Tigers beat the Texas Longhorns 3-2 in the first game of the Big 12 tournament.

Ryan Lollis singled to start the 10 th and moved over to third on Jacob Priday’s base hit, before scoring on Coleman’s single.

Kyle Gibson, the winning pitcher, went two and two-thirds scoreless innings in relief to move to 9-1. Rick Zagone started and went seven and a third allowing two runs.

The Tigers tied the game in the 6th off Big 12 freshmen of the year Chance Ruffin.  Sikeston’s Jacob Priday hit his 16 th homer of the year and his 49 th career home run, most in Mizzou history to tie the game. 

Mizzou has won nine of the last 12 games against Texas and is 2-0 lifetime against the Longhorns in conference tournament play.

Missouri, the fourth-seed in this week’s Big 12 Championship, will return to Bricktown Ballpark at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday to face eighth-seed Oklahoma.
