Head coach Ehren Earlywine The Missouri Tigers softball team is heading to Alabama for their first ever Super Regional appearance.  They’ll play the Crimson Tide this Friday and Saturday.  It’s a best of three series and the winner goes onto the women’s college world series.

Amanda Renth The Tigers finished the regular season 44-14 and were abruptly eliminated on the first day of the Big 12 tournament losing to Texas Tech 5-4.  Mizzou then headed to Iowa City for regional play last weekend, where they beat Iowa 3-2, tying the game in the bottom of the 7th, then winning in the bottom of the 8th.  In game two, they came back from a 1-0 deficit over Long Beach State to hold onto a 5-3 win.  Then, in the final, knocked out Iowa after giving up a 3-1 lead in the 7th to rally for a 5-4 come from behind win.
