Steve Gray homered, doubled and drove in two runs and Rick Zagone allowed just two runs in seven innings pitched, but a run in the top of the 10th by Kansas State, gave KSU a 4-3 win over Mizzou in the finale of a three-game series at Taylor Stadium.

In the top of the 10th inning, the Wildcats’ Adam Muenster reached on an infield single and advanced to second on an error.  Freshman Nick Tepesch threw a wild pitch after an intentional walk and Sophomore catcher Trevor Coleman attempted to throw Wiley out as he tried to take second base, but the throw was off line, going into centerfield. Muenster, who was attempting to take third on the wild pitch, scored the go-ahead run on the error.

The Tigers fall to 31-16 on the year and 11-10 in the Big 12, while Kansas State moves to 22-25 overall and 7-14 in league play.

Zagone took a no decision after pitching seven innings, in which he allowed two runs on five hits.

The Tigers will play midweek games against Missouiri State and Creighton.
