The Chiefs are shopping around pro bowl defensive end Jared Allen.  He was tagged with the Chiefs franchise player, but the two sides can’t agree on a long-term deal.

Allen is talking with Tampa Bay and Minnesota about a long term deal.  The Chiefs could match any offer than Allen signs with another team, but that team would have to compensate the Chiefs with first and second round picks.

This scenario probably wouldn’t happen because of the high price a long term deal would cost and the fact neither team would give up two draft picks.

Any trade would likely include the first round draft pick of those teams and a lower round pick as well.  The Vikings will pick 17 th , the Buccanneers 20 th .
