At some point the power supply would have to cut off.  After scoring 31 runs on Friday and another 13 on Saturday, the 8th ranked Missouri Tigers lost to 12th ranked Texas in the series finale 9-2.

Texas rightfielder Kyle Russell hit two home runs, his first in the top of the first inning to give UT the early 3-0 lead. They stretched the lead to five when the Longhorns scored twice in the second inning, getting three-consecutive doubles. The Longhorns added a run in the third inning and Russell hit his second homer of the day in the top of the fifth, a solo shot over the wall in rightfield.

Texas starter Chance Ruffin did not allow a baserunner through the first three innings and picked the win after allowing just two runs on four hits in 5.1 innings pitched. Cole Green earned the save by retiring the final 11 Mizzou batters of the game.
