The deadline to file 2007 income tax returns, without penalty, is rapidly approaching. In fact, it’s Tuesday night at midnight. Michael Devine, Internal Revenue Service Media Relations Specialist for Missouri and Kansas, says help is available to any Missouri taxpayer at one of the IRS walk-in centers throughout the state, online, or through a telephone call.

Devine says the toll-free helpline is the best option for many taxpayers. But low-income earners can get more than information. People earning $40,000 or less can get their tax returns completed – free of charge – at an IRS walk-in center.
