Edwards flips at Texas Carl Edwards wins for the third time in seven races, by winning at another intermediate track.  Edwards who started second held off Jimmie Johnson in the Samsung 500.

With his third win in seven races, Edwards joins Johnson and Johnson’s teammates Jeff Gordon as winning three of the first seven races.  Johnson did it last year and won the Cup Championship.  Gordon accomplished the feat in 95, 96, and 97, winning the championship in two of those three years.

History and tracks are certainly on Edwards’ side to make a run at the Championship.  Five of the final ten races are on intermediate tracks where Edwards’s 99 car runs particularly well.

Carl discusses his win and answers criticism from other drivers on how difficult the new cars are to handle.
