Today Governor Blunt accepted a $15,000 donation from the Taiwanese government to aid in flood-relief across the state.  The money represents the friendship between, not only the United States and Taiwan, but also the state of Missouri and Taiwan.

The acceptance of the money came just after Blunt gave a speech on the importance of faith-based organizations at First Assembly of God in Jefferson City.  Midro, an faith-based disaster response organization, will be in charge of using the money to aid the Missouri flood victims of last month.  Jim Eckrich, a representative from Midro, was present at the acceptance and said the money will go straight to the victims, and not to any administrative costs.
