Aquila’s fight to keep from dismantling a 140-million dollar power plant is being extended to the Missouri Supreme Court.  Aquila has been accused of building the plant without getting proper planning and zoning approval from Cass County.

Aquila argues the demolition of the plant would be a "colossal waste of resources" and result in "significant harm to consumers."  That argument has not yet been proven to hold any water as Aquila has lost each of its lower-court cases, but hopes to fair better at the state supreme court level.
