More trouble for the Missouri Tiger athletic program, this time from the football team. Marquis Booker, a reserve Missouri linebacker arrested on a felony gun charge and suspicion of violating Columbia’s underage drinking laws, after he was pulled over Sunday morning around 4am.
Police pulled over Booker’s car after leaving a disturbance at the Gateway at Columbia apartment complex where it was reported that Booker pulled a gun and was waiving it around in the parking lot. Witnesses said he did not point it at anyone.
Receiver Jeremy Maclin and linebacker Sean Weatherspoon were also in the car, along with MU recruit George White and Jessica Reaves, a sophomore at MU.
All four of those passengers inside Booker’s car were questioned and released with Booker being the only person charged.
MU’s football coach Gary Pinkel has suspended Booker indefinitely.
