The Cardinals may have found themselves a lead off hitter.  Skip Schumaker had two more hits to raise his spring average to .382.  He walked and scored in the 10 th as the Cardinals battle back to beat the Mets 6-5 in 10 innings.

Another starter struggles.  Braden Looper gives up four runs on seven hits in four innings and his spring ERA is now over 11.

The Cardinals may have some help on the way.  Kyle Lohse has come into camp to take a physical as they appear close to coming to a one year agreement.  Lohse was 9-12 with a 4.62 ERA last year with Philly and Cincy.

Joel Pineiro says he’s feeling better, and may throw today (Friday).  Also, the Cards say that Matt Clement is improving as well, though he will not be ready for opening day.
