Former Republican Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee (R-AR) visits Missouri for the first time since his campaign for the White House ended, spending a good part of the day speaking to students and other interested parties at Columbia College in Columbia.

The former Arkansas Governor is being mentioned as a possible running mate for presumptive GOP presidential nominee John McCain. Huckabee says he’d be honored to be offered the number two spot on the ticket, but "has serious doubts" that’s going to happen.

Huckabee says he believes he could do the job if McCain were to offer it. He says it is not a position you campaign for, nor is it one you turn down if it is offered. Huckabee says he has not been asked. Asked whether he might consider a run for the presidency in the future, Huckabee says it’s a little too early to decide. [Video runs 6 min]
