The way the night started, it looked like it would be a long night for the Tigers.  Colorado jumped out to a 10-2 lead into the first nine minutes of the game, but the Tigers would outscore the Buffs 30-10 from that point on to open up a 12 point lead.

The Tigers did it with three point shooting, hitting 6 of 13.  It all got started from Darryl Butterfield who hit from long distance to cut the lead to 10-5.  Mizzou tightened up their defense as well forcing nine turnovers in the first half.

In the second half, Mizzou opened up an 18 point lead three minutes in, but Colorado came out to defend Missouri’s outside shooting and cut the lead to two, 50-48 with under three minutes, but were unable to get over the hump.

Keon Lawrence led the Tigers with 16 points, the only Tiger in double figures, but the Tigers distributed the ball well as ten different players would score.  The odd stat of the game.  Colorado did not attempt one free throw.

Mizzou will host Oklahoma State on Tuesday, who upset number 4 Kansas.  Click here for complete game stats.
