His real name is K-Ru’s Park Me in First, but he’s called "Uno." And last night a beagle partly owned by a Columbia man became the number one dog at the nation’s most prestigious dog show. Uno is the first beagle to win best-in-show at the Westminister Kennel Club show.

Uno, the numero uno dog, has four owners.  One is Columbia resident Eddie Dziuk, who heads the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals in Columbia.  The dog has won 32 championships in other competitions. Last year he was the sixth-ranked dog in the entire nation.

The other co-owners are a breeder in Belleville, Illinois, and some people living in Texas and North Carolina.
