The #15 SBU Bearcats defeated Missouri Western, 84-72, to remain in first place in the MIAA standings. The Bearcats kept their #2 ranking in the South Central Region.
Matt Rogers and D’Ante Harris scored 18 each. Jim Grabowski added 16. Nick Kovacevich scored 14.
"We had a good second half," said coach Jeff Guiot. "I felt like we were fortunate to be down only two points at halftime. We did a better job with rebounding and turnovers. Statistically, it was a good game for us. We had some guys in foul trouble late, and they played well through that situation."
Grabowski’s points put him over 1000 wearing a Bearcat uniform, ending the evening with 1006 during his SBU career.
