After hearing back from the NFL College Advisory Committee, five Missouri juniors will return for their senior seasons.  QB Chase Daniel, TE Chase Coffman, FS William Moore, DT Ziggy Hood, and DE Stryker Sulak will all be back next year.

Coffman will follow in the footsteps of Martin Rucker.  Rucker decided to come back for his senior season and became an All-American in the process.  Coffman, coming off of a minor ankle surgery would be served best by coming back for his senior season as well.

Head coach Gary Pinkel has compared Chase Daniel to Mark Brunell who played with Jacksonville and Washington in the NFL, in terms of size, but while Daniel is 5’11, Brunell is 6’1 and there is something about that six foot mark that means a lot to NFL coaches.  There are exceptions to the rule, such as Doug Flutie, but it took Flutie a number of years before he could be taken seriously in the NFL and the one thing Flutie had going for him was his ability to scramble.  While Daniel moves well on his feet, I don’t think he has the speed to be a scrambling quarterback in the NFL.

NFL College Advisory Committee that they will not enter the 2008 NFL Draft, but will remain at Mizzou to play their senior seasons.

Those who had sought feedback on their potential draft status included QB Chase Daniel (Southlake, Texas), TE Chase Coffman (Peculiar, Mo.), FS William Moore (Hayti, Mo.), DT Ziggy Hood (Amarillo, Texas) and DE Stryker Sulak (Rockdale, Texas).  All five received feedback from the committee, and have chosen to stay at Mizzou in 2008.
