A St. Louis County judge will investigate complaints of juror misconduct in the latest trial of Kevin Johnson who has been convicted of killing a Kirkwood policeman.

The jury had recommended the death penalty. But the sentencing hearing has been delayed until the judge considers motions from Johnson’s attorneys that one of the jurors failed to reveal she knew the lead police crime scene investigator in the case. He testified for about 45 minutes.

Johnson already has had two trials. His first one resulted in a deadlocked jury.
